The Habits Weren't Really the  Problem - But I Thought I was

 

I used to believe that something was wrong with me because I couldn’t stick to habits, no matter how hard I tried. I’d start strong—new planners, perfect routines, checklists galore—and still, I’d fall off track.

Every time I quit, I felt like a failure. It wasn’t just the routine that didn’t work. It was the voice in my head saying, "Why can’t you follow through like everyone else?"

It chipped away at my self-esteem. I started a lot of things I couldn’t finish. And it fueled the narrative that I was lazy, unmotivated, and not cut out for success.

But then I learned the truth: I wasn’t the problem. My brain just worked differently.

I have ADHD. And when I finally gave myself permission to stop trying to fit into systems that weren’t designed for me—everything changed.

I simplified. I stopped chasing new hacks and focused on what actually helped me move forward. I let go of perfection and adopted "done is enough."

And over time—years, not weeks—I became the kind of person who follows through. Who keeps going. Who knows how to move at my own pace, on my own terms.

Now, nine years later, I don’t feel the same pressure. I’m resilient. I know how to walk myself through the hurdles & get to the part that matters most: taking  action.

I don’t need to imagine who I want to be. I’m living it.

And I want to show you how to do it, too.
